Reviewers have said T.H.E. Show Newport, after only two years, is officially now the
“PREMIERE U.S. Show”
and one even compared Newport to the Munich Show: A high compliment, indeed.
While T.H.E. Show Newport 2012 added over 1,000 attendees to 2011 record-breaking figures, The Home Entertainment Show will continue striving for more - finding new and improved methods of attracting a wider array of NEW enthusiasts to our Industry! Next year, look not only for increased Exhibitor participation but also a larger Car Show with a new location and a GIANT indoor concert with big-named entertainment.
In June, T.H.E. Show hosted over 30 unique booths including vinyl, CD’s, software and Headphones and over 150 Active Exhibit Rooms, representing over 500 Manufacturers and Distributors. T.H.E. Show, in association with over 20 L.A./Orange County/San Diego Dealers will be working together to increase product awareness throughout the next year. T.H.E. Show plans to increase that number greatly in 2013.
T.H.E. Show also helped stimulate the local economy! Both the Hilton and Atrium hotels enjoyed three Sold-Out nights, and the local Marriott housed over 200 people totaling over 1,600 room nights in all during the 3-day event. Local restaurants reported increased revenues during T.H.E. Show Newport. And over 35 freight handling personnel were kept very busy - along with the fully staffed hotel crews. Even the Gourmet Food Trucks had trouble keeping up—several ran out of food on the first day!
Many of the problems that arose during the first T.H.E. Show Newport were corrected - parking was plentiful and swift; Registration was never backed up thanks to an additional Registration area in the 2nd hotel with an improved, more efficient system and furniture was NOT in the hallways, unlike 2011 - lessons learned!
AND: The Los Angeles/Orange County Audio Society welcomed an additional 183 NEW MEMBERS, through special registration at T.H.E. Show bringing membership up to well over 1,200 members. President of the society, Bob Levi boasts the LA/OC Audio Society is “the largest such organization IN THE WORLD,” and rightfully so. T.H.E. Show further donated over $10,000 in fees and services to the society, as well as over $2,000 to the production of a new documentary: “Steve White—Painting The World With Music” produced by Clint Burkett, T.H.E. Show’s official videographer. Indicative of the success of T.H.E. Show Newport this year: Stereophile magazine’s coverage will be the LARGEST such coverage of any Audio Show EVER with the exception of the annual CES and T.H.E. Show Vegas Re-Caps.
With many “Thank You’s” for a terrific T.H.E. Show Newport,
The Home Entertainment Show looks forward to seeing all of its loyal exhibitors and followers in
Newport next May 31—June 2, 2013
AND also in
Las Vegas, January 8 - 11, 2013!
